At BIGshot Archery, we are committed to supporting youth archery and scouting programs. The BIGshot NASP youth archery target is the perfect solution for archers who want to move up and potentially compete at JOAD and NASP archery shoots.
Cardboard vs wooden framing. Loose fabric filling vs heavy bound closed cell foam layer filling. These are the difference between a $100 target and a $300 one.
Bought 4 at $114.00, so willing to accept less robust construction, because these are very light/portable, very important to my portability requirements.
For the four, I added a plywood base and swing out “feet” to each. One was shipped with 90cm target area instead of the NASP 80cm, support sent me a replacement cover which I installed and I added extra thickness of cardboard behind each target facing side (36”x36”) to that particular target.
The Bigshot Iron Man 30" Range Target is very durable yet makes pulling arrow easy. We have shot many arrows into the target from generally close range (tuning and blank bale shooting) and the target stops the arrows well while still allowing for easy removal. This is important as the target functions well as a good backstop by keeping arrows from penetrating too far and also does not appear to be degrading (get shot out sections) with arrows shot into primarily one local section of the target.
This is my favorite, especially living in Appalachia. The deer are often smaller than the large targets and this training my eye and gap shooting for traditional hunting!
